What is TAFE in Australia?
TAFE means Technical And Further Education same as "Jeon-moon Daehak" in Korea. Meadowbank TAFE is near by my residence. TAFE is running a variety of classese such as Carpenters, Builders and so on. It is very helpful for career or job finders because curriculums are so much practical that graduates can effectively apply their knowledges into real businesses. Also, for early immigrants, English courses are open in almost TAFEs in NSW. Tution fees are variable according to the features or degrees of courses, but normally it tends to be increased by the levels of classes. Higher a class is, more expensive!

Logo on ivy
Classes are usually ended around 9'o clock in the night, so darkness always surrounds me at the time of coming back home. Everytime walking through down the road in the middle of school bulindings, I come across University Logo on ivy in the corner of city road and fisher road. In U.S.A, eight prestigious universities in the eastern region are called Ivy League which is originated from the schools' walls covered with ivy. The light of night is always beautiful wherever we go.

How to dispose garbage at home
There are three types of garbage bins at home in Australia. The functions of bins are distinguished by the colours on the top of bins. Red bins are used for general garbage such as food waste. Yellow bins collect recyclabe stuffs like bottles, plastics and papers. Finally, green bins put into garden vegetables like leaves and trees. Once in a week, cleaners of council ( same as Gu(bundang) in Korea) come and empty the bins in the morning, so residents should take the bins on the street before the expected date.

Meadowbank Park
This park is near by my house, only 30 seconds walking! These kinds of regional parks are all around in Sydney, this is the most distingushied feature compared to my home country. However, there will be no one in the park after sunset. It's very strange thing I have ever expriencd. In korea, many residents living in town get together in the park especially in the night to enjoy chatting, sometimes light drinking. The reasons of cultural difference lie in the different living patterns of people and the sorts of crime. Especially, the drug and gun are a little bit prevailed in Austraila rather than Korea. Hence, the night stroll in the park could be dangerous sometimes.

Meadowbank Station
Meadowbank station is located in the walking distance from my house, approximately 15 minutes. This station is rather small compared to other big city stations such as central, epping and strathfield stations. I get on trains at this neat platform to commute Sydney University every morning. The fare is normally as much as $6, but thaks to student concession it is redued at half price. Just like a country station in Korea, Meadowbank station has got a something to appeal romance.
